Overview

A well-written strategy and a decision that actually gets made are not the same thing.

Roberts Analytics exists to close that distance. We advise municipalities, government departments, SOEs, development finance institutions, housing entities and infrastructure agencies across South Africa.

The practice integrates spatial planning, urban law, infrastructure advisory, governance, policy, financial analysis and programme delivery — applied together, on the same mandates, by the same people.

What We Are For

Advisory that shapes places and improves governance for the long term.

Work that enables better decisions — not advisory produced for its own sake.

How We Work

Rigorous, honest and implementable advice for public-sector clients.

Including the assessments that are difficult to deliver — what is achievable, what is constrained, and what implementation will actually require.

Our Values

Five commitments we hold to.

They are not decoration. They determine what we will and will not sign off on.

01

Technical integrity

Analysis grounded in evidence. Conclusions are not adjusted to suit preferred outcomes.

02

Institutional awareness

Familiarity with how public-sector organisations operate — their obligations, constraints and intergovernmental context.

03

Delivery focus

Engagements designed to support decisions and delivery, not to produce documents.

04

Multidisciplinary depth

Spatial planning, law, infrastructure, governance, finance and policy integrated — because complex mandates require it.

05

Professional honesty

Clear assessments of situations, options and constraints — including what is difficult to acknowledge.

Clients We Serve

Across the public-sector landscape.

From local government through to the institutions that finance and deliver national infrastructure.

Municipalities — local & district National & provincial departments State-owned enterprises Development finance institutions Social housing institutions Infrastructure & programme delivery agencies Public-private partnership structures NGOs & civil society organisations

Start a Conversation

Direct engagement, from the first conversation.

We engage with the context, constraints and governance environment of every mandate — before we propose anything.
